Ok I have an older Compaq/HP Presario 7588. The FSB is set at 100mhz. i currently have a PIII 1.4Ghz CPU installed but the cpu is rated at 1.4Ghz when using a 133Mhz FSB and because the FSb is at 100Mhz the CPU is only working at 1.046Ghz.
First: The FSB cannot be changed and i have even tryed SoftFSB program.
Second: Current CPU 1.4GHz PIII (only at 133Mhz) 512K cache or Celeron 1.4Ghz rated for use with 100Mhz FSB (will run at 1.4Ghz) with 256K cache
Third: My question here is I am unsure whether to keep my current setup and use the higher L2 cache or get the higher proccessing speed with the lower L2 cache?
Could anyone help me with this dilemma?
