Question about converter

I'm getting a couple IDE to SATA drive converters (to put my HD's on SATA) and want to know if i will have to reinstall my OS. I have come to a conclusion that i wont since i'm not changing the MB or anything but i want a second opinion. (and please dont start telling me "just buy an SATA hard drive", i'm not untill i build a new computer and i want to free up my other IDE slot for a couple other opticals)

I don't see any reason you would have to.

It should be like using a Ghosted drive in the original drive's place.
