Purchased a UPS

I purchased a Belkin 500VA UPS. It works well, but every so often im getting an error that says "Load Warning, The UPS is overloaded" then within 20 seconds, it says "No longer Load warning". I have the software installed that came with the UPS. What does this error mean? How can i shut the voice off. The name of the program is "Belkin Bulldog".

are you sure you didn't plug too much equipment into your UPS? for a 500VA you should only have the computer and monitor attached. do not connect printers, speaker power supplies, etc to it. the backup is only meant as a buffer. if you already tried that I would assume the UPS is defective. Belkin really sucks, I would go with another brand
