Depends I guess on your tastes in sound. I use to use the Soundblaster Line of Cards & was very happy with them. Then I got me an ASUS Mobo with Built-in Sound & now I use that & removed my Soundblaster Card & Software for it. Figured I'd free up some resources, Less Crap to go wrong etc... But I just have a 3 speaker config and some guys in here don't like the On-Board sound for 5.1 systems. See if your Mobo supports it & try it, If not you can always go get a Soundblaster card which are really cheap nowadays.

I just checked, and it seems like my MOBO supports onboard sound
Asus P4P800-E-Deluxe Intel 865PE OnBoard Audio, IEEE1394, IDE RAID, AGP8X

What about memory? Is Kingston or Hynix any good? Or should I try get Corsair?

Asus Mobo's are really picky about the Ram. I'd go with Corsair if ya got the bucks. ASUS website has a pretty good compatibility chart for their Mobo's. I use the Mushkin myself and it's all good.

Definitely Corsair like kboy said. I have used Mushkin and Corsair, prefer Corsair now. Dont get value ram, shoot for the XMS PRO C2 or LL series.

I would have bought Corsair but it was on backorder so I opted for the Mushkin. I didn't want to wait to get the PC up. No Patience...LOL
