Most boards, the BIOS will have a basic "driver" for USB Keyboards/Hubs/Mice. But, windows won't use that driver, it will install it's own driver. The same thing happens with all other ports/functions of your motherboard. The BIOS handles everything, till it hands everything off to the operating system, which the operating system has drivers installed to handle that function.

Well, what I learned is they are both recognized and work in BIOS, but when it comes to OSOS reads the USB devices to make a verification that the devices are really the mouse and keyboard. In PS/2 they are already recognized and verified as keyboard and mouse, no need for OS to verify that the devices on PS/2 are mouse and keyboard. Is that right to think that way? Correct me if Im wrong.
