Default Program to tell if I have registered or unregistered ram?

I tried selling some ram on ebay but kept getting a few questions on whether my ram is buffered/registered or not. It's some Micron ECC ram but dont know how to tell. Is there any hardware analyzer program I could use that could tell me? I have lavalys home edition on a cd somewhere, think that would that work? And what exactly is registered ram compared to unbuffered?

Did you get these computer components from a server? If it's originally a PC setup, it's almost certainly going to be unregistered ram.
