Question Processor Question...

What kind of P4 is in a Dell Dimension 2400

I got this info off the Dell site but if I have to replace it I don't know what type of P4 I am shopping for. Is it a Pent. D processor?

Intel Pentium 4 that runs at 2.2 or 2.4 GHz internally and 400 MHz externally, or 2.266, 2.4, 2.53, 2.66, 2.8

Oh, you need to replace the CPU?

Well any of the above will work (not the pentium D)...I'd go for the 2.8ghz as it's cheap. Make sure it's a socket 478 northwood by the way.
