Default Processor Motherboard compatibility

I am looking into building my first rig and yes this is a noob question but can I put

this processor on this MOBO

I was wondering this because this is such a fast processor on a cheap MOBO I dont see why I couldnt there both socket 478 but I wanted to make sure

Personally i dont think it would be a good idea getting that mobo. Thats a really cheap mobo man. Always stick with

They make the best mobo's, that mobo will work though. But i do believe a 3.4ghz is probably rite at its limit.

Gigabyte makes half decent mobo's too.

And go for any ABIT, DFI, MSI, ASUS or Intel mobo.

PC Chips is crap. go with a gigabyte board or intel
A+, Network + , HP Certified Tech and MCP
