Problems with FarCry

I am having problems with Farcry and the problems are that the game keeps freezing for 5 seconds and unfreezing like every 30 seconds. I have no idea why this is happening...... it just started to do this.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Do you have 1.2 installed? If so, remove it.

I do have 1.2 farcry installed but the reason I went to 1.2 is because it was messing up with the same problem with 1.1.

my specs are,

Athlon 64 3200+

160 gig harddrive 7200 Rpm

1 gig of Ram pc3200 (400mhz)DDR

MSI k8n neo

EVGA Nividia 6800 GT

Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 zs

Possibly changing video drivers may fix the problem? zI noticed that FarCry is not the only game that is doing this, the same problem happended to me on UT2k4.

Wow, FarCry lagging up on that? Do what NanoWarrior said and change your drivers.

I do get perfect framerates it's just that my farcry game will freeze for a while (like 30 seconds) and ruturn, freeze for a while and return and so on.
