Problem installing OS XP

I am currently having some issues with installing XP, I have a Gateway MP6954 laptop, and Im trying to install XP Pro on it. It has a sata hard drive so I need to isntall the driver for it to see the Hard drive. So I used a external floppy at first and tried to load it, it found the hard drive but than gives me a error later. "Setup cannot copy the file: iaStor.sys" so I thought it might be the floppy so I tried 3 more and had the same issue. Than I slipped it into a OS disk and still had the same problem. What is the problem with this machine, is this normal? The program i used to slip stream the drivers was Nlite.

problem solved, I let it sit for a hr came back and tried it and it worked lol. Computers make no sense sometimes lol

Glad you got it sorted. Next time for reference this should go in the Windows area. It is not hardware based and is directly related to getting a Windows based OS working. )
