my friend has this board

PIC

and the capisator on the bottom left of the socket is in the way of the large Tt heatsink and fan.

are only ideas were to grind down the heatsink(which we realy dont want to do) or to posably remove the capisotorput the fan ans sink on then replace the capisator with low resistance wires

would the removeal and replacemnt skrew up the flow of electric through the board???

any other ideas other than buying a new fan or MOBO????

maybe your just trying to put the heatsink on backward... turn the heatsink 180* and see if it works that way.

copasitors arnt used to just transfer electricity like a wire. thy store electricity and discharge it wen needed, example- like durring power on/off. thy protect componets from surge and keep the bourd stable(so u cannot remove it)

I can see what you mean...but the make them so they can fit and work (duh), so you must be doing something wrong.
