Default Problem of HardDisk????

I got a new computer assembled and immediately it started showing error message like
"cant write to this memory location and specifies the address like 0x7777... "
in the middle of all application.
My vendor says that it is a RAM problem and replaced the RAM but the problem is very much there.

Should I format the hard disk or is it the problem of OS?

it might be something to do with the paging file, try setting more paging file, or disabling it and see what happens

if you have Windows 2000 or XP, do a repair-install of the Operating System
put in the XP CD on boot, start to install, and after it says "searching for previous versions of Microsoft Windows" press 'r'

This error code is hard to deal with...you might have to reformat but first try running a virus scan
