My co-worker has an HP932C printer hooked directly to her computer (no network) and uses windows 98se. When she attempts to print, nothing happens. If she reboots the computer, she gets a message asking if she wants to print the document or cancel it. Anybody know how to correct this?

printer's memory is showing problems, or may be printer cable fault, that initially diagnoses the signals but cannot interpret it.

check for printer drivers update as wel, it might help

Thanks, BA. I thouhgt it might be the memory since it does print on reboot. If the driver was outdated, would it print at all?

as windows 98 doesnt comes with appropriate drivers working instead of original drivers. threfore it may show problems as well. but for the sake of getting to the point, i'll suggest using the printer on some other pc with some other operating system. if it shows problem means that its printer problem rather than software or signalling hardware.
