I was wondering if I could get a little advice on a psu. My main components are:

-EVGA 015-P3-1582-AR GeForce GTX 580 SuperClocked Video Card
-EVGA 141-GT-E770-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Extended ATX Intel Motherboard
-Intel Core i7-980 Gulftown 3.33GHz 6 x 256KB L2 Cache 12MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor BX80613I7980

I'm also putting in 2 SSD and 1 HDD, a fan controller and 3 sticks of 4gb ram.

I'm unsure how much power I'm going to need but here are the 2 psu's I debating between:

-KINGWIN Lazer LZ-1000 1000W Modular 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC W/ 3-Way LED Switch and Universal Modular Connector Power Supply
-High Current Pro HCP-850 850W TX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.92 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Can you please point me in the right direction. Thanks!!

You don't 1000w. 750-850w is more of the range, and a good enough range if you want to get a second 580 to SLI.

Out of the two PSUs, I would pick the 850w, but if I may, I would suggest either the Corsair HX850, Kingwin Lazer Gold 850w, or the Seasonic M12D 850w over the HCP-850.
