For the last 5 years now, i have been using an external 2.5 inch drive for all my tools. It's been an external USB PATA Drive.
And over the years, there have been a few upgrades on the drive.
Orginally started off as a 40Gb. Moved on to 60Gb, 80Gb, sat on 120Gb for a while until 160Gb. Currently i am running a 320Gb.

My only problem is that from 120Gb onwards, I noticed that the drive needed more power from time to time. I have to pug in more USB socket, or I use a AC to USB Adaptor in order to get the drive to boot up.

It's coming more and more commen with the 320Gb Drive that currently have in there now.

If I move over to SATA 320Gb, will this problem go away (or at least I become left frequent)
Do SATA 320Gb 2.5" drive require less power than PATA 320Gb 2.5" drives?
