Thanks for doing the test for me....

All of the video card related tests seem typical between a 9800 pro and a 9800 SE (we all know the synonym for SPECIAL don't we?).

There is a huge difference in speed between my harddrive and yours though.

HDD XP start up:
me- 2.32 MB/s
you- 5.38 MB/s

HDD Virus Scan:
me- 2.15 MB/s
you- 6.78 MB/s

So, do those two diagnostics (HDD xp start up and HDD virus scan) test solely the harddrive?

yea i think so. maybe faster ram would help the test as well though. have you run memtest86 on your ram?

Nope. I've never heard of it. Can you give me a link to a site that has that test?

google it. you have to format a floppy with it, and then boot from the floppy. you can leave the test runnig indefinatley. it is a very good test though. leave it going for a few hours, (2-4) and then see how many error it returns.
