ASUS boards are fine IMO, and no your hard drives wont have to be reformatted or anything if you replace motherboards.

And 60 C temps for AMD's arent out of the question. They usually run hotter than AMD's but not always. Many factors with cooling, air flow, etc... But you have nothing to worry about with 60 C temps.

60 degrees is WAAAAAAY to hot for an fx-55, their max is 70

If that's idle, it's overheating
