Please Help Me

Ok guys i'm about to throw this computer. Building a new system and i'm at that stage where i'm trying to install my os but all i get is a black screen and a flashig cursor. What do i do,please help.

when do u get the cursor?
are u installing XP or some othe OS?
What r your system specs?

Just put the system together,first boot do i have to do something brfore installing xp.

Gig o ram\
amd64 3200
ati radeon 9800se
samsung 120 gig hardrive

I get the cursor after it boots,it says nothing is attched to fastrack bios not installed.

can you get into bios ? If so change your 1st boot order to your CDROM drive.Youll have to format the drive 1st then install OS .After your installed change it back to the order of Floppy, Hard drive,cdrom drive.

Installed xp in 19 minutes.
