Please help! Comp running slow and I can't figure out why

I'm with BVR...

Been running XP-SP2 since its release, and have encountered only a few minor problems (which ocure with EVERY major software release).

SP2 is running decent, at both my home, and on all the machines at work. (Well...all of them, save for the two 486's we keep in the back for our EXTREME Holiday Work Hour PONG COMPETITION!!!)

lol yeah. This shoulda been addressed in the first post.....SHE BOUGHT IT FROM COMPAQ.....those things come LOADED down with sh!t when you buy it from them. You were right in trying to get her to build her own. I usually keep my PC running like 18 processes at max.

Just now looked....thought I had SP2....got SP1....now I'm afraid of SP2 lol
