Default Pentium 4 w/EM64T

It started with the Xeon, now it has been announced for the P4. What is it? It's Intels EM64T technology. I think its the equivelent of a 64-bit Athlon but I'm not sure.

Right now the Fastest CPU out from intel is the P4 3.46GHz 1066MHzFSB 2MB L2 Cache Extreme Edition chip for $1,077 at But now it looks like it will be beaten.

I looked into the P4 w/EM64T and found This information. I thought It might be intersting to see so I posted it. It is said to run with Windows 64-bit.

"Adding value beyond GHz"
has Intel finally realised that the frequency isn't everything?

Do you mean that just like AMD's, Intel will be getting a higher performance with the same amount of GHz? That would be nice to hear, maybe people can actually get what they payed for.
