Usually Intel's and AMD's aren't compared to each other by who bad they fry. That was not the processor's fault that all that happened anyway. So blaming intel for that is probably unjustified.

I can tell you how to make the sound quality better....buy a sound card. There isn't some way to just "magically" make onboard sound actually sound decent.
Grab an OEM Audigy 2 ZS for like $65 on newegg and you'll be set for sound.

Oh, but don't fry it please.

Man, just b/c u or that technician fried the Intel CPU doesn't make Intel "crappier". .. What do u want them to do at Intel .. I am sure if u did the same thing on the AMD computer, it will fry too. Wanna try it?

There was a guy a couple weeks ago who was blaming Intel b/c his noob buddy put some ****ty junk instead of good thermal paste and the heat wouldn't go down. And the guy was going off about how Intel sucks b/c it doesn't work with crap thermal compound.

Go figure :s..

Yea when I defended Intel in that thread I got flamed like no other. 90% of the people on these forums are biased towards AMD and NVIDIA. Yet if one person seems a little bit biased towards Intel or ATI they get flamed to high hell for being a "fanboy" even though the people saying that are fanboys themselves.

you're a bright guy aren't you? the motherboard has a lot of metal solder points on the bottom of the it. if one of these solder points happens to touch a metal contact it can ground out and possibly even catch on fire. please for the love of god, do not build any more computers. either that or have a person with the proper skills help you.

But he took it one step further than that. Went ahead and fried it so he wouldn't have to listen to that annoying beep noise anymore.
