PCI to RAID CONTROLLER CARD

i have an 80gig sata to raid0 and i was hoping to add another 80gig 7200 rpm hard drive but i wanted ask would hooking the regular hard drive through a pci to raid contrller card and have it runnin through sata1 or just straight to the primary slot thing and just run it normal...would it make any difference?

What board do you have? If your going with 2 SATA drives just raid those. What are you trying to gain from doing a RAID config? Why not just hook your IDE drive to the IDE1 on your mobo?
