9800PRO>Vanilla 6600 (vanilla means plain).
6600GT>9800PRO

6600GT is the best, then 9800pro, and finally vanilla 6600. Well out of those three cards at least.

A fair amount better I presume... vanilla anything is going to nowhere near as fast as it's bigger brother.

Here is the 6600GT VS. 9800PRO- http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2277&p=3

And the clock speed on the vanilla 6600 is roughly half as fast as the 6600GT. So let's put it this way, 1/4th would be a card under the 6600 specs wise, 2/4th's (1/2) would be the 6600 vanilla, 3/4th's would be the 9800PRO, and #1 (4/4) would be the 6600GT. So in lamens terms, the 9800 Pro is 3/4ths as fast as the 6600GT, and the vanilla 6600 is half as fast as the 6600GT. Am I making any sense?
