Default PCG-FX210 Laptop

Hey fellas,

Figured Iwould run this buy you. I have a sony vaio laptop it's a 800 mhz duron machine. I was wondering if you all thought I could drop an athalon processor in the machine? I have one lying around that I may try.

They both have the same processor pinning etc. I do not know if they are the same core voltage etc. what are your thoughts?

If it is just lying around, and you think you could actually get it back together, go for it.

You may want to do some Googling to see if the voltages are the same first, though.

Well I know I can get it back together, I had to totally disassemble it as the dc jack was bad. So I stripped it down to themotherboard and once I get the dc jack , it is goingback in.

Thank you for the reply!
