I have a few questions requarding this. I have a 17" POS dell monitor, and a 15" lcd. Since iv had the dell, it seems like my eyes are hurting more. I dunno if this is refresh rate or w/e. MY RA is at 75%. Would getting a nice 19" CRT from samsung make things better?

My eye sight is getting worse also (long term effects) since iv been around pcs so much, lol. I really dont want glasses :D. I can see up close, but from far, it gets a lil blurry.

Haha.. lol
My eye's are very good. Maybe u should get a IIyama VisionMaster Pro 17" from 1997! lol

I presonnaly think 19" is too big.. get 17"

lol, nah, ima get the 19" samsung monitor, its really amazing. OR maybe a hyunday q17

thats odd lcds are supposed to be less of a strain on your eyes than crts. anyway see if you have your contrast set too high or maybe youre sitting ridiculously close to the monitor. in any case if its causing serious problems you should probably take time away from the pc every half hour or so just to give your eyes a rest.

I'm in the same boat dude, unfortunately if we don't get glasses the problem will only get worse and 10 years from now we could be blind, partially blind, or who knows, so it's best to get them checked and get some glasses.

I've definitely noticed my eyes get worse and it's definitely from long computer screen exposure

just use binoculars on a 13" screen
or not...

bu yes, i had to get the glasses, i even had a slight tint put to the lenses to reduce the glare... let me tell you, i only wear them in front of a pc, sometimes driving (esp. at night) but i get less headaches now!! and they aren't getting worse, at least not as fast
