Patriot Memory and MSI mobo

I just bought a gig of patriot pc 3200 ram, timing 2-3-2-5, and a MSI mobo, I know for a fact that the motherboard takes pc3200 ram, its a socket 939, anyway, the MSI website doesnt have Patriot listed, and the Patriot website doesnt have MSI listed as compatibility, so does that mean they just dont have some kind of finacial endorsment? is it just politics, or does brand really matter?

socket 939 MSI Radeon Xpress 200
socket 939 3000+ Venice 64bit
pc 3200 Patriot Ram cas 2 timing 2-3-2-5 (not dual channel)

should be alright those are just things hey tested and definitly work there just saying IF u do run into problems which is fairly unlikely its not there problem and they dont have time to test every kind take forever and they wont do it just certain brands they tested is all
