and the 6600gt will give you insane performance/price so go for it, and spend the extra dont settle for outdated highend cards, its not worth it... a 9800 pro costs just around a 6600gt and loses against it in every test(unless the 9800 pro has 256mb of RAM, in which case it wins occasionally in 1600-1200 resolution)....

I agree with him. If there is any way you can save for a little longer and keep the 1 GB and get a 6600GT, then DO IT!
