Default Paging file

I read in PC World that having no paging file will speed up my computer a bit. I have 2 gigs of RAM, should I change my virtual memory to no paging file? Any negatives to doing this?

I have only 1 GB, I tried not having a pagefile. I set virtual memory to 0.

and comp froze. Restarted, changed it back as fast As I could.

If anything set it to the minimum, not 0.

Putting it on another partition will increase performance.

I guess I won't worry about it. I just set it to "let system decide".
