Default Over heating and shut off

Would a total power shut off happen with a gpu overheating?

I think the fan on my laptop gpu isn't kicking in... 5 mins of nwn2 and its 110C and then i'll just shut off.

Worst pasrt the cpu thermal sensors stuck so no idea on my cpu temp!

I think it would shutoff if you have those settings set on your laptop, though I may be wrong

^ What settings? I have nothing set.

Anyway LinX ran for an hour, 4 passes, and no temps went above 60 and could here the fan speed up and down.

Ran Furmark, and in 4 minutes it was hitting 108. Though the fan did not speed up or even change sound.

Think my gpu fans bunk.
