ok, im fixing a computer today (for fun) and it has the following specs:

120 Mhz Pentium
64 MB SDRAM
3 GB HD
CD-ROM
USB Hub


I will have to install an OS on it, but which operating system will run fine on a system like that? I am thinking windows 98, because it has USB, but will 2000 work better or worse?

I am not going to let XP even touch that computer, since it doesnt have a good enough processor for XP, and XP wont boot from floppy.

Please tell me which operating system will work good on it, and how i would boot from floppy and get the cd-rom going properly...

I've never used Windows 2000, but 120mhz? I would say 98.

I think the boot disk should load CD-ROM drivers so that you can then access your D:\ from the command prompt.

this computer doesnt support cd-rom (made in 1995)

i want the computer to be able to recognize cd-rom, so i can install windows 98

P.S. the cd is pirated, but it will still work right? i have the product key
