Default Once again. Need advice.

Here is the monitor I plan to buy:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824174024

Good contrast ratio and response time, although I would like a better contrast ratio.. but I'll have to pay for it.

Any suggestions?

How much are you willing to spend?

do you play games?

-get DVI
-if you play games get 8ms response time

i suggest this, best bag for the buck and very good:

$335 Hyundai L90D
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824179014

Fantastic monitor but getting expensive

$425 ViewSonic VP191B

Yes I play games. The one I posted has DVI.
I like that Hitachi you posted, but I really don't want to pay that much.
Do you think I'll really notice a big difference with 500:1 vs 700:1?

Can you elaborate on why? Some examples?

Stick with 8ms response time for gaming. You will notice ghosting with 16ms unit. Spend more now or upgrade shortly thereafter.

Damn, ok. I'll go for that Hitachi I guess. If anyone knows any great deals on a 19" LCD with 700:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time please let me know.

Thanks.
