I'm helping my aunt with her computer problems. The computer is a Compaq with onboard video that died. It doesn't have an AGP slot only pci. Should installing a PCI videocard fix this problem? I've never worked on a computer with onboard video before. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Yes. Installing a PCI video card should fix the problem (if the onboard video has died). make sure you install the drivers for the new vid. card, and disable the onboard video in the bios.
