Unhappy old HD files to new HD ?

now that i have evertihng up and running (lots of help form you people ) my old HD has all my mp3 files and pics. how do i transfer the files. i don't know the jumper codes for the old HD but i do for the new HD. should i just remove the jumpers on the old one? will that let me set it up as a slave? and both HDs have the same OS on them. pre-emptive thankyou .

Either set your old HD up as a slave, or transfer your files through a peer-to-peer ethernet connection. Don't remove you jumpers on the old one. To set the HD as slave, you move the jumper to the slot right next to the one its on, which is the master.
