Default is this okay? (business pc)

im building a pc for my moms new office . . . is this okay? the biggest thing is that it should perform well, yet be quiet

Antec Black ATX Mini Tower with 350W PSU
Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz Northwood with HT
MSI i865G Chipset
Samsung Black CD-RW
Samsung Black Floppy
Samsung 80GB SATA
Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
PDP Systems 512MBx2
Dell 15" Ultrasharp LCD
Creative SBS230 Speakers (just for fun )

as you can see, i REALLY like samsung

anything im missing?

Do you really need 1gig of ram for a buisness pc? I would save some cash and go for just 512mb.

I would agree with circa about the ram. You should see the computers at the local college here. Man those women down there check e-mail and download TONS of **** on them and bog them down. But yeah save cash get 512mb ram =)

Same at my campus Nubius. The only problem is half of it is in Japenese and I can't delete anything for fear that I might have deleted something important. Damn foreign exchange students. No respect for modern computers lol.

my mom likes to keep lots of apps open at one time . . . .

medical billing

appointment keeper

microsoft excel

microsoft word

tons of windows of internet explorer at one time (trying to get her to switch to firefox)

more ram cant hurt

plus i got a rebate price on the 2x512 that i didnt on the 1x512 or 1x1gb . . .

its only about $30 more . . .

2 less wires (on the desk) is better

EDIT: its not like im getting a gaming set . . . wireless keyboards and mice are becoming a lot more popular too
