The tests don't show them to be equal anymore though. The 4870 1gb wins across the board at 1680x1050 and only looses in one game at 1900x1200.

but you also have to remember that those tests were not done with nvidia's latest drivers.

They weren't done with AT'Is newest either. They used Catalyst 8.12 hotfix drivers and forceware 181.22.

I'm guessing you just converted that in Google? It's much more likely to be closer to $150-160. When doing electronics, right now it's roughly 1:1 for price, pounds to dollars. Because of VAT, and the Pointless Tax. And electronics just tend to be cheaper in the US.

their now on newegg for $129, cheaper than the 9800GTX. seems like a good alternative to the 4850.
