Yes, that is definetely true.
I used to be a big Nvidia fanboy due to all of the Radeon game issues and incompatibility issues and such, but ever since I upgraded my Gf4 Ti 4200 to my Radeon 9600 XT, I must say, that ATI makes some of the best cards out there!
Nvidia is decent, but with crappy video cards such as their FX 5600 and 5700, ATI simply beats them easily.
The 9800 Pro is DEFINETELY a better card than the 5900 and 5950, and is also usually cheaper!
