Angry Nvidia display

I have a GF4 440Mx Nvidia which I can,t open properties on.
Every time I try to access it I get the following message

NVCPL Catastrophic failure. Then a string with shell32.Dll.Control
failure etc....

I have tried to get "support" from Nvidia BUT.......! ! !

Hope someone can help, or point me in the right direction

Andrew

ok, well im not sure exactly what the problem is, but try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it for the card, or maybe downloading an updated one if possible.

and when u say cant open the properties, do you mean the menu for the card through the display settings? or the Nview desktop Manager?

the desktop manager should be refreshed/reinstalled as well if you uninstall the driver and reinstall it.

hope it helps, and anyone are welcome to correct me if i am wrong, , cause i would like to know what causes this error as well
