In all seriousness though, everyone's pretty much already stated the obvious. The best we can do is recommend a video card based on our personal experience.

That being said, this is the general rule of thumb I have noticed...ATI has the best bang/buck in the performance department, while nVidia has plainly the fastest cards, for a price. Some people may disagree with me on this with the 400 series out, but again, it's the GENERAL rule of thumb.
