the 4870 will be more expensive, but should be under $300 at least... well under what Nvidia is going to price their new cards.
Performance is yet to be shown from either Nvidia's or ATI's new cards, but either one should have a significant increase over current generation cards.

Oh, unless if it is like $270+ I may not get it and I may just get the 4850, unless of coarse for it turns out to be garbage...

4870x2 will probably be around $380... $230 for a Dual-Core GPU is too cheap... you wish..

two 4870x2's on one PCB, just like the HD3870X2 (for HD3870)
