only problem currently is that you will need to opt for the Intel platform as the Intel 9xx series chipsets are the only that support PCI-E.

sorry but also in regards the bandwidth of PCIE, i do believe it is 2x pcie equals 1 gb/sec... verified by this website on tomshardware...
