Default Now everything's done - but i can't boot from CD?

turn on comp -> the usual screen -> the second usual screen that checks for stuff, and then it says

Boot from CD:

nVIDIA loading agent (something like that)
nvidia yadayadayada (year-year)
same thing, except intel yadayadayada (year-year)

i have my win xp pro SP2 disk in there, but it won't boot from it! i get an error instead

btw, i'm not sure if i did this right, but i put my cd drive's ribbon cable on the IDE2 right now to the hard drive's IDE1

edit: cd drive is set as first boot priority, and the cd drive is at "secondary IDE slave"

also, one other thing i noteiced is that all my rails (12,5,3.3) are running pretty low

I had a similar problem on my first build and it was actually the DVD drive that for some reason wouldn't read the XP disk. Try installing the XP disk using a different CD or DVD drive if possible. That solved my problem.

ah, i c, but my cd IS reading the disk though

it says "boot from cd" then read from my dvd/cd drive, then says

it goes to nVIDIA booting agent

then it waits a while (doesn't read from cd) then says:

PXE-E61:media test failure check cable
PXE-M0F:exiting nVIDIA boot agent
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.
