not recognizing my cd-rom

sup all, im havin trouble with my pc right now....and its really pissin me off . but neways when i go to play one of my games or try and play a cd, or whatever, it says to insert a cd. and its already in there, then ill go to my computer, and its not showin my cd-rom, when i reboot it, its fine for awhile then it does it all over again. ne ideas on what causes it?

Sounds like the device is disabled. Have you checked your device manager to see if it shows up there with a red x?

yes i have multiple times, and everything in it is new, and no it hasnt had a red x
