Noisy Processor?

I suppose it could be coming from the RAM modules. It's definitely not coming from the hard drives. Still, I'd like a second opinion on whether or not it's possible to actually hear the CPU cycles, or get a good description of what it sounds like to hear information being loaded into RAM or travelling on the system board.

Do you have onboard LAN? Do you use it? My old Biostar Mobo used to whine like that. Whenever I unplugged the ethernet cord the sound would stop.
It could also be the ram too, I've heard of it making noise before.

I don't think CPU's or RAM can make any noise unless they are burning.
