Hi all,

I recently bought a pc
some specs:
Asrock P4VT8+ motherboard - Intel 478 Socket
Intel prescott 2.8GHz
FSB 800MHz

What i wanted to ask is the following.
When i turn on the pc the fan or fan controller makes one hell of a noise. Each time i scroll thrue a page the sound goes higher than back to before and so on.Even when I max.a page or min. a page....it's terrible. Is there anything I can do to solve this?
The fan on the CPU is an Intell CP33218-002

Anyway...hope anyone can help me to solve this.
Thanks in advance !

The fan may not be attached tightly to the heatsink. If it has screws, try tightening it down. It sounds like you have a variable fan controller where the fan speed goes up when the cpu usage goes up.

You should be able to change it on the bios, im not sure about your mobo. However you should, consult the manual and see what you can do about that.
