I just reinstalled Win XP on my notebook. It's an old IBM thinkpad with win98. I went through the c:\windows\options\cabs to reinstall the os, but now it doesn't recognize my CD drive. It shows it in the bios, but not in the Windows GUI. Any suggestions?
Another thing. If I have a Windows 98 CD in the drive when it boots, it will recognize that it's there, and ask me to boot to cd or hdd. But when the OS loads, it's no longer there.
