nic problem

I just installed windows and during the install i was trying to join a domain. It told me that the domain could not be contacted and if i wanted to try to join it later. I clicked yes and now that windows is done installing, i went to join the domain. I go to control panel, system, computer name, then click the change button. when i type in the domain name i get an error saying it cant contact it. I went into the properties of the nic and set everything to be static as far as the ip, gateway and dns. It still did not work. So i put in a different nic and did all the steps again and still nothing. Then i changed the cable and still nothing. Any ideas how to fix this?

Are the drivers for it installed? Did Windows detect it and install it properly? Check in the Device Manager.

yes everything is fine in device manager for both nics

so windows decided to install the device with the wrong drivers i installed the ones from the companies website and now it works thanks for the help
