Default NIC Card Question

I have a PII 400 MHz box and the NIC card on this computer is not a 100mb/second one.

Does it slow down downloading and uploading speed of the computer?

Currently I am using it as a web server and wondering if I should take that as a concern when it comes to performance.

Thanks.

No, a 10mbps card will not affect your performace unless your internet connection is over 10mbps, which I highly doubt, hah.

I'm using a broadband to access the internet. I thought the connection is much greater than 10mb/second.

Go to http://www.hamiltontel.com/speed and see what your connection speed is.

2.75 mb/second.

I think that's average speed for cable modem?

That's pretty good. However, it's less than 10 mbps, so you don't have to worry about your NIC slowing your connection down.
