it has pci express support, but no word on an extra agp slot like VIAs K8T890 or whether it will use DDR or DDR2 ram . . .

Block diagram shows PCI-E x16 as AGP

and DDR modules (not DDR2)

also PCI (older slots avaialble)

bugger, i thought this one was gonna have all the bells and whistles, like DDR2 and a PCI-Express and an AGP slot... oh well, i guess its gonna come down to which board is the best

Nubius 08-23-2004 03:28 PM

looks like its gonna have PCI-E slots and the regular PCI slots from the block diagram they showed.

koldapu 08-23-2004 03:29 PM

Can still use cards like ATI Radeon 9800 Pro on PCI Express? How much will this be?

Edit: I'm quite confused... How fast is 1 GHz HT? I thought the motherboards were going to cost a little bit more.

koldapu 08-23-2004 06:28 PM

no the only ati cards that will be available on the pci express bus will be x300, x600, x700 and x800 (pci-e version)
