Default Next generation of graphics cards.

Hi.

Does anyone have any idea when the next generation of graphics cards from Nvidia and ATI are being released? Also is it worth buying a card now or waiting?

Cheers.

The 7800GTX really should have been named the 6900 Ultra, because its not enough of an improvement to warrant a new number series.

Do you think it's worth waiting for the X900 or should I just go for the X850 XT PE?

I'm looking for a graphics card that will be able to run games like Oblivion reasonably smoothly.

I think the 7800GTX is a big improvement over the regular ultra cards, especially at higher resolutions. But, I do agree that its not fully next generation. Maybe it should be .8 of a generation.
