I'm questioning intel celeron processors.

I've seen around here that people with 2.xGHz celeron processor only have cache of 128kb while my chumpy 1.3GHz cel has 256kb. My question is, shouldn't the newer celeron have 256kb or more? Is there a reason why intel decreased the L2 Cache other than cost or whatever?

The celeron chips are the weaker brothers of the P4's. It was prolly just to offer a little more speed and still keep the cost down. That would be my guess. They aren't to worried about the speed on the celeron chips seeing that they are budget chips anyway....

Cache costs alot of money in CPU's, that is why the P4EE is so expensive, because of its overall 2.5mb of cache:confused:
